Monica Armstrong holding "Heart of the Matter"

Monica studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and is a graduate of Moore College of Art. She was commissioned to design and paint many public murals while living in the San Francisco Bay area in the 1980s.

Her work is in many collections and has been exhibited in over 75 shows regionally and nationally. Monica has received numerous awards, including First Prize from the Philadelphia Sketch Club, Abington Art Center and the San Francisco Art Commission. She was a founding member of the MUSE Gallery, a cooperative,Three In One and former Coordinator of Philadelphia Chapter of the WCA. Monica’s studio/gallery and home are in Philadelphia, where she lives with her husband and son.
